FAQs
There is always questions so let's clear some up here.
Will my insurance cover the services?
The field of Holistic Nutrition continues to develop and therefore more and more insurance companies are covering services of Holistic Nutrition services - especially in Canada. Depending on the insurance company you use and what is included in your policy depends on whether or not the services are covered. Be sure to look for the indication of coverage in your insurance plan under "Nutritional Counselling/Nutritionists" - which is not the same as being covered by a Registered Dietician (this is a different service). If you have a Health Spending Account you are likely covered. If unsure contact your insurance provider to confirm. You also may be able to request this to be added.

What conditions can certified holistic nutritional consultants help with?
We do not treat, diagnose or test for any specific conditions. We assess the body and main health concerns through symptoms and lifestyle. We are qualified to assist in addressing nutritional imbalances that may be contributing to issues such as fatigue, blood sugar imbalance, weight management, high cholesterol, insomnia, hormone health, cognitive support, immune support and much more. We can be an integral member of your healthcare team. We often work with other health practitioners such as family doctors, naturopathic doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists, herbalists, acupuncturists, etc.
What kind of diet will I have to follow?
Every "body" is different and therefore each individual has different foods that fuel their body and those that do not. There is no such thing as a diet right for everyone. There is certain principles that I teach my clients and we tailor those to your lifestyle and preferences to support your main health goal.
